We had a very lovely yuletide. It was great to see so many friends and family and thank you for all the lovely gifts and cards we received.

Abi the Snowman

Abigail’s playgroup put on a little bit of nativity inspired singing for the parents today. It was lovely to see her all dressed up and enjoying the attention. She wasn’t best pleased at her solo bit but was happy singing along and playing her jingle bells with the others. I’m going to watch her do it all again tomorrow, although she’s decided she’d rather be Santa than a snowman…could be fun

Bonfire Night

We took both the sproglets out for the night with their Aunty and Uncle to see Leicester’s biggest bonfire and firework display at Abbey Park. Although Abi had been before, we decided to stay for the grownup display after the smaller children’s fireworks had finished. The sprogs both did really well with the late night, and hopefully will let us have a lie-in in the morning

The days are rushing by so quickly that I barely seem to manage to keep up. Abi is now at playgroup 4 mornings a week, and is registered to start at school next September, Toby is a walking (running), talking giggle machine and life is a chaotic rush from one minute to the next. It’s fab

I was recently gifted a vintage Zenit TTL SLR camera by a good friend, and as often happens with me it has sparked a bit of an obsession.

Photobucket is becoming more awkward touse due to it’s file restrictions and downtime so I’m starting to use Flickr more and more.

I’ve made a seperate blog post over on blogspot about this but I wanted to share my flickr page over here so that family and friends aren’t missing out on our family photos.

Road Trips

Well, this weekend has been busy. Very busy.

We travelled down south to surprise Hubby’s great gran for her 90th birthday and spend some time with my FIL and his partner. It was a 2.5 hour trip according to google (ended up being about 4 hours with service stops) from Leicester to Frome, the first time we’d travelled for that length of time with the sprogs and the first time they have slept in the same room.

We booked the family suite in this lovely place www.breconridgebandb.com . Highly recommended too, great facilities and very friendly. We’ll definitely be making a return visit the next time we’re down South.

The trip went well, the sprogs slept better than I thought but not as well as I’d hoped It was great to see Great Granny May and Abi and Toby fully enjoyed being the centre of attention.

Toby is now 4 months old and a fantastic giggling fattybum whilst Abi is a whirling dervish of noise and laughter. Hardly any time to blog, but I’m trying to take photos as we go.

Little Miss Abigail is now mostly potty trained, so as a reward for being wonderful we went out to feed the ducks and get a good dose of fresh air at Bradgate Park this morning.
